Once again, Baker Tilly hosted a series of training workshops tailored to address the needs of the BVI business community. The workshops, held at Mariner Conference Room, The Moorings, from 13 to 16 November 2023, covered a number of financial, leadership and communication topics.
Carlison Morris, who presented the IFRS Workshops, has over twenty-four years of audit and business advisory service experience including several years’ experience auditing banking and capital market entities. He also lectures widely on financial accounting and auditing issues. He is an accomplished and experienced leader committed to developing and mobilising strong teams and harnessing their collective talents to drive Improvements in organisational performance.
Dominique Bruno, who presented the Management Workshops, is the Head of Learning and Development for MHA MacIntyre Hudson, where he is responsible for the development and delivery of the firm’s numerous (award winning) training programmes. This role involves working closely with HR, management staff and their technical team to identify learning and development needs across the firm. Dominique is himself a chartered accountant (FCA) and has been with MHA MacIntyre Hudson for eight years. Prior to this, Dominique honed his training skills through seven years at Kaplan Financial. In 2018, he was awarded a Golden Stevie™ Award for Training Professional of the Year.
IFRS workshop attendees received a complimentary copy of the latest International Financial Reporting Standards Handbook. Complimentary snacks and beverages were provided for all workshops, with lunch included for the full day workshops.
