Investment business
Investment businesses in the British Virgin Islands are regulated through The Securities and Investment Business Act, 2010 Investment businesses include dealing in and arranging deals in investments, investment management and advice, custody and administration of investments and operating an investment exchange.
Effective 2012, the BVI introduced investment businesses under the lighter regulatory regime or the Investment Business (Approved Managers) Regulations, 2012. These include investment management or advisory to open-ended and closed-ended private or professional funds.
